I just want to send a shout out to my gyrl Ink...thank you so much for your story! Each one will help all of us feel a little better a being free! its start with hair and and weight and race but together we will each find our since of peace in just being ourselves! Your story is all to familiar. No matter what race we have this idea tht European bone straight  is the cats meow! With this mode of thinking we will just have one more thing to be down on ourselves about...one more expense (relaxers every couple of weeks and such) that we dont need in our lives, one more reason not to enjoy life to its fullest i.e a hot shower an impromtu swim (head underwater) a good nite of real sleep. we sacrifice all of those things to name a few and for what...straight hair? We dont give our babies a chance to embrace their natural beauty before we stick a kiddie perm on em! Its a cycle and just like our moms we just do what we know...well knowledge is power and im trying to arm us all with as much as we can handle!
